Laurel Studio is a personalized skincare studio in Hongdae, Seoul — designed for travelers who want to understand Korean skincare, not just experience it. At Laurel Studio, we believe healthy skin begins with understanding, not excess. Rather than overwhelming the skin with many products or aggressive treatments, we focus on restoring the skin barrier, improving hydration, and supporting the skin's natural ability to heal itself. Each session is carefully customized based on your individual skin condition, lifestyle, and environment. Our approach is gentle, ingredient-led, and well-suited for sensitive or easily irritated skin. What makes Laurel Studio different is the setting itself. Treatments take place on a traditional Korean ondol floor — a warm, heated surface that has been used for rest and recovery in Korea for centuries. Our therapists wear hanbok, the traditional Korean dress, creating a calm, grounding experience that goes beyond a typical facial. Laurel Studio is fully foreigner-friendly. Everything is explained clearly in English, and the routines we recommend are simple, realistic, and easy to continue once you return home — using products you can find anywhere, not exclusive brands sold only at the studio. Here, skincare is not about instant results or product upsells. It is about leaving with a clearer understanding of your own skin — and the knowledge to care for it long after your visit to Seoul.
